Hi John,

You probably need to reduce the resolution. Try using Irfanview. It's excellent freeware.

That is a lovely looking car and so practical.
Has it had much work or is it original?

Very nice and very rare. Congratulations.
I don't remember seeing many Corsair estates even when they were current or contemporary.

Exactly which model is it? I am noticing the absence of the central armrest/cubby box and the centre console mounted clock.

Hi Kevin,Ellis. The car has been totally restored bodywise but there are things to do mechanically. The model is Corsair V4 2.0L Deluxe. I have been told there are 20 worldwide(conditions unknown) but only 5 registered in the Abbotts Register.(Found the last bit on line - Register not club)
Thanks for the interest,cheers,JD

I think I've written previously about the only company representative who used to call on my father who drove a Ford Corsair was the one from Elastoplast.

A friend of my parents used to have a new light blue 1.6 Corsair, KUN 670F in 1967.

It's a model I have always admired. Rarer than a Cortina and with a lot more style.

Was it meant to be the UK equivalent of the Ford Thunderbird sedan or was that the Consul Classic and Capri?
