|
|
Some way off the normal OCC enquiry, but I know there are a few members with aviation knowledge.
I was under the impression that the letters on the side of a plane, were a unique ID similar to a vehicles number/licence plate.
I was looking for information on one this morning and found 3 different aircraft with the same letters... is this normal.
Thanks |

Thanks guys. There was a light plane crashed south of Winnipeg last night and the photos show the number as C-FHSN knowing a couple of people from the area with light planes I looked up the number and found two aircraft, non of which were a light plane.
Sadly the pilot and passenger were killed but it wasn't anyone we knew. |

Thanks Mike. That cleared up the wrong number issue. One thing OCC is renown for is correcting inaccuracies.
So the numbers can be re-used ? a bit like back when a car number plate that may have started life on one vehicle then turns up on another.
Thanks to you all.
