When PB tried to blackmail us, I waited a while, then moved to Postimage. It was fairly easy to navigate, so I loaded pictures on that site, then started working through the process of changing all of my PB images to PI ones. Just as PhotoBucket sorted itself out and my remaining PB images all reappeared on the stories where I had no 'converted' them, the PI ones disappeared. I investigated and found that the PI ones merely needed and minor adjustment- go to 'edit' on the OCCC page, find the PI link within your old posting, change the 'org' to the two letters 'cc' and all will be fixed.

Fortunately I had not converted too many pictures so for now, I will leave all my PB ones and PI ones as they are. It is too much work to change them and I have other things amuse myself.

Just joined the forum so only just found this thread.

I found this Photobucket fix a couple of months ago and soon got back loads of pics I thought I'd lost for good. Scroll down a bit to Photobucket hot link fix and download. It was working ok a couple of months or so ago so hopefully should still be ok.

Best of luck....

I am hearing now that Flickr - an image host that several people jumped to in the light of the PB thing - are to start limiting free accounts to 1000 images. I haven't had direct notification myself, but have heard of several who have. The workaround is to upgrade to a "Pro" account for £50-odd, though apparently there are offers on at the moment.

Flickr is the best site if youíre interested not only in your own images and you want all displayed well without adverts etc. itís a superb resource and I search it for images before Google.

Iíve had a Pro account for many years.

Does anyone know how to login to a Flickr account using BT (yahoo). I can do it via IOS but not Microsoft, my usual platform?
Whenever I try, I am pointed to the BT login and no further! Worked OK a few months ago.
I know they are getting away from Yahoo specific accounts but not sure why the BT account does not work!
Tried searching for info but nothing really helpful!

Frustrating! Confused Confused

I tried to join this Flickr thing but they seem to want you to create a new email address with Yahoo!

I might not want a Yahoo email address so what then?

Update:- with effect from January you will no longer need to have a yahoo address to use Flikr, I expect that's to do with the take over by SmugMug, cheers,JD.

I wonder if it's JRM ? I have just received an invite to "an evening" with the RH member at our local golf club. Last time it was Theresa but they all have one thing in common...an ability to avoid answering simple questions. Rolling Eyes

"SmugMug" indeed.
