Hi all,
I need some advice as how to wash out my headlights & spots.
I bought a set of NOS spots, but they didnt have covers at the bulp socket.
This means they have a tiny layer of dust, and one has 3 small mould marks in the reflector.
Reflectores are EXTREMELY easy to damage/scratch, so what do you goes use to clean them with ?

Many years ago I had a similar problem, I was advised to wash them in warm soapy water rinse thoroughly in clean warm water and dry thoroughly with a hairdryer, it worked fine on mine. _________________ old tourer

Thanks for that advice, the only thing that bothers me is if the water will leave stains (chalk marks) but i guess I just use demineralized water to rinse with. _________________ http://www.eurods.eu/wp/index.html |

I took some old tarnished yellowing reflectors out of a pair of prewar lucas headlamps and with nothing to lose polished them with autosolve. They came up fantastically and the beam from the lamps is excellent with no regrets. I was aware that I wouldn't get away with it more than once as the silvering is very thin but it worked really well for me. |
