I have just been given an old Nenette tin and an extremely mucky duster with it.

A. How do I wash/clean the duster?

B Where do I get the anti-dust polish for it.

The tin is definitely in an 'oily rag' condition; goes well with my Standard 8....

I've no idea about cleaning or using them, but they look good hanging up in the garage Smile

I think they were just washed with household soap and water.

They were washed then replenished with Nenette oil, although it was said the dirtier they got the better they worked.

I have one somewhere in my container. I'm having a new garage built and everything is in a shipping container 3' from the house front room window.

(I have been reliably informed that if I don't get it shifted before Christmas week I will be living in it!!) Shocked

I remember them on display in my Dad's garage and they were good sellers. More recently a few years back I was at Angouleme and there was a Ferrari in the paddock. While other drivers and mechanics changed wheels and tyres or fettled cars this mechanic was carefully removing dust with what was a modern replacement for the Nenette in microfibre.
