Is it a legal requirement:-
that after re-insuring the van I have to sit and listen to 'some youth' beat his gums for 10 minutes telling me what will be all on the paperwork that will be hitting the mat in a few days when I have better things to be getting on with?

Cheers, Tony

Unless you have a time machine, it seems one has to listen or be refused.

Applies to so many walks of life. Only yesterday I had to complete a very simple form at the bank and then listen while the very attractive banking lady explained to me the answers I had given.

But I was in no rush, I really try to not live life in a rush anymore and further more she was very very attractive.

Ditto, the information is in front of them yet they still ask your leading particualars and I cannot see how this helps "Data protection" when your data is being discussed over the ether!

Cheers, Tony.

It is so that a potential customer cannot 'come back' to them with a claim that ''they weren't told about so & so''.....
It's all about covering backs, etc

It seems that if you phone a company they ask you first line of your address and postcode, your date of birth and maybe a password, they then transfer you to someone else, and they ask the same questions all over again. Grrr.
