I used to have an early 4 door version. It was one of the Vogue models with deep wooden door cappings. I remember deciding on a 4 door as they seemed to be, practically, a big improvement on the two door. Little did I know, or even imagine, how much of an investment the earlier cars would prove to be.
I went with my Dad to the Earls Court Motor show (1970 I think) when the 3.5 litre V8 Range Rover was shown to the public for the first time.
The interior was entirely plastic. It was mainly aimed at Farmers who it was envisaged would hose it out before taking the family for a drive.
How things have changed! |
