Any experts? I have just bought a Rochdale with a BMC B series engine serial no. 18SV*****.
Now I immediately thought Sherpa Van, but the only info I could find on Tinternet says that the only recorded sighting of an 18SV id no was on a late MGB.
It has a single SU on a vertically-downward exiting single exhaust pipe with a bell-end (!) front pipe secured by a squeeze-together clamp.
