Hi all,

We wandered out yesterday for the (becoming regular) classic car meet held at the Crewe Heritage Centre. There was an interesting variety of oldies dotted about the site (plus a number of moderns that were easy enough to avoid), and the cafe was busy serving butties and brews throughout the day.

For a new event to the calendar, it's off to strong start.

On a personal note, it was neat to see the old SAAB 99L there as an uncle of mine had a two-door in that colour. It was especially memorable for the fact that he shoe-horned a Dolomite Sprint engine into it, converting the sensible saloon into something of a tyre-shredder.

Some interesting stuff there, I must get myself into gear for the next one. I almost went to the Toy and Train fair there on Saturday, until I got there and read the sign properly (it's next Saturday). I don't think I've been in the Heritage Centre since they built a supermarket on the front.

I'm not sure how often this meet takes place, but I'll definitely try and get over in something next time.
