Please take a moment to marvel at this magnificent display.

An old fashioned rambling rose with the most wonderful scent; due to the fine weather, this is the best it has been in 20 years.

We have noticed recently on one of our favoured walks in the village that there seem to be more wild Roses in bloom this year?

Is it the weather you have been having in the UK or maybe a combination of that plus less vehicle fumes ?

It can only be the weather. We have experienced a record amount of sunshine this Spring. The lockdown, however, has undoubtedly been beneficial to wildlife. We have noticed a significant increase in birdlife and one thing that has lifted my spirits has been long tailed tits nesting in a tree in our garden. We often have flocks of a dozen or so of these birds visit to feed and then move on but never had them nesting before. All I need is to hear a cuckoo. I haven't heard that call for a few years and doubt I will ever again but we live in hope.
