I'll try again peter. I uploaded them as forum fit, but I'll go back and delete them all and start again.

I suggested taking the Hillman out for a family drive at the weekend but bearing in mind my wife and kids have not left the confines of the village for 12 weeks they were not to keen on the idea of that being a priority.

I took my P5b to Aldi. I sat in it as my wife negotiated the one way system and social distanced.
Had some nice long distance chats with passers by.

As things are easing now I think we will take the car out when we have fixed a few little issues. She currently has the boot panels stripped out so I can replace some of the ash framing.

Finally after finishing some important jobs on the Hillman we thought she needed a short trip out. We took her out and did a circuit of the village and neighbouring village. We stopped in to see an olf froend who used to run the village garage, he hasnt seen the Hillman in the flesh so was pleased.

Strange though with the distancing etc, we keep to it and so did he which was good but seems so 'un' normal in our sleepy little village.

Not really an outing, more a trip of convenience. I've finally got around to swapping the sump on my "modern" daily driver, so I'm running the Firenza while I finish it.

I have taken the Minx out a couple of times this week - the first outings since last September. Each to their own but for me I was not seeking a tenuous excuse to use my cars while the pandemic was leaving the country in Such a fragile state.

While I'm familiar with the smaller radiator muffs for cold weather running, I've never seen a full blanket like that before. I'm curious as to its purpose.

It was common to not use antifreeze at all, so this would have been used during overnight storage, then taken off next day.
