These scammers would be much more successful if they could just writer proper English.
For me, the first alarm bell there is the "from" address - no way are the DVLA sending emails from "postmaster@yazom.com".
The next one is where it uses "you" instead of "your" - "DVLA have been notified electronically about you latest payment for your vehicle tax failed because there is not enough money on you debit card."
Then the lovely "to avoid any other consequences that might appear in case again won't be enough funds inside." Er, what now?
I bet none of the links go anywhere near the gov.uk site either.
Still, the most worrying thing is that some people might actually fall for this. |

If in doubt, delete.
In cases such as this you can always go onto the true DVLA site and check. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

Hi
I believe that the perpetrators do the mis-spelling and poor grammar deliberately,, because they only want to catch the unwary, poorly educated or gullible.
They hope that those of us who spot them will merely delete without notifying either the authorities or their friends. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

What i don't understand is why cannot these scammers be traced, dragged off their chair in front of the computer and be given a severe belting round the ears, or jailed, fined, have their computer impounded, crushed and be forced to do had labour breaking rocks for the rest of their lives.
Seems as soon as a site is taken down, six more appear.
It will never end until there's a serious consequence.

Mostly, I believe, it's because these scammers don't operate from within the UK or any other country that may be considered vaguely civilised. Instead they base themselves in countries that either have no functioning government at all or where the government really doesn't give a stuff about a few foreigners getting ripped off. There are plenty of trouble spots in the world where people are too busy dealing with natural disasters or fighting over religion to worry about a bit of online fraud and that is where these scammers flourish.
It's never going to end because as soon as one area gets itself organised and roots these scumbags out somewhere else will fall into chaos and allow the same sort of scams to flourish. Probably not the same scammers, but very much the same sort of scams. |
