I had two Mk 1 Golfs, one Mk 1 Jetta GLi, and later a Mk 2 16 valve. The last I sold after six months; I did not get on with it at all. I'm with you Rick; rose-tinted glasses are a damned nuisance sometimes. |

Whether you like Golfs or not, I would have thought that example was way past saving when you can pick up a well-preserved example for peanuts - a one-owner example, admittedly petrol not diesel, with less than 30,000 miles on the clock, has just sold on eBay for under £2,000. _________________ in the garage: 1938 Talbot Ten Airline

Some years back I drove a 130?? turbo diesel from Edinburgh to London. I enjoyed driving it.
