I wondered Rays question, thinking he might knew the man himself and was surprised to see someone else in his car. Or something like that. But no, it is just that Ray is not sharp enough.

Sorry Ray, I was being a bit mean answering as I did. I see the JCC meeting was written up in Motor Sport, August 1939. Cyril Mann's Test Hill time was the best at 9.2 seconds beating H.C. Hunter in a Frazer Nash BMW at 9.6 secs and D.G. Silcock in an Allard Special at 9.8 secs. Mann also came first in the One Lap Handicap Final on the track with a speed of 85.57 mph ahead of H.C. Hunter in an Alfa Romeo. It looks as if the SS had better acceleration than the Alfa but when it came to the Two Lap Handicap Hunter's Alfa had a higher top speed with 108.63 mph pushing Mann's SS into second place.

| Ray you should change your eating habits like me went from eating old type light bulbs to led's now much brighter....... |

I can't stomach led's but this morning I took delivery of two rather tasty Halogen bulbs.  |

Be careful how many halogens you ingest Ray, too many can cause halitosis! Then again that may only be a problem for those putting the bulbs in their mouth with their feet.
BTW What foot-candle rating are your halogens? Beware of the four candle ones.
