I'm still catching up with my recorded episodes. ISTR a statue dedicated to Alcock & Brown once being in position around Manchester Airport (formerly Ringway) ... or am I imagining this?

There seems to be one at Heathrow. Could that be the one you were thinking of Rick?

I am afraid the series is descending into a comedy of errors. I saw the episode on the Morris 8. Oh dear.

Never mind; all's well that ends well, I suppose.

Is it true that the M8 engine was based on the Ford 8?

Sorry for all the repetitions! When I tried to post I got an error message, so I tried again - and again - then gave up.

I never noticed it had actually posted!

Edit: It happened again posting this one. Shows:

I often see it. I just ignore it, go back to the topic list and then click on the particular thread and low and behold my entry is there.

EDIT

In fact it just happened to this entry.

EDIT 2

The edit above entered correctly without the error message.

Even if it repeats, there is a Delete post option. It's an X , top right of the post. It is only available for a certain amount of time, I don't know how long, however the Edit is always there so a post can be edited down to something simple such as "Debug Deleted"

Same with mine; OK on the edit, but not the original post. I'll leave the duplications unedited, otherwise this conversation would not make sense!

Yes it happens to me maybe 8/10 times, something random has changed with the hosting server, not sure what
