I can see why you might consider it as a contender but I am not so sure.

This survivor clearly shows the design of the Adams radiator.

I can't identify it either.

Maybe it's a prototype Warszawa?

Hi
Nor can, I even after going through the Saloon Cars 45-75; Encyclopedia of Classic Cars.

Incidently shouldn't IT be replaced by THEM in the original question.

The one behind is a 1950s Opel Blitz lorry, I think

A little bit disappointed you lot could not recognize a "mainstream" Ford Crying or Very sad. I can be excused because I never have been a lover of anything Ford Very Happy

It is a (French) Ford Vedette circa 1951.

Pic taken from Curbside Classic. Full story here: https://www.curbsideclassic.com/automotive-histories/automotive-history-the-small-flathead-v8-v8-60-part-deux-the-post-war-fords/

I have no excuses. I didn't even know that Ford made cars in France; let alone that they handed over the factory to SIMCA. The Vedette is a car I had not come across before but now I will know for another time. Wink

I looked at Russian cars like the Gaz but never consider "mainstream" vehicles.

Another one from an "old streets pictures" group forum. The rear lamps looks Volvo Amazon but it is not an Amazon (or 121) estate / station. Picture is from 1959. What is it?
