Looks to me like the carburettor is just inboard from the footrest under the intake manifold, must be a fore and aft twin or perhaps a four.

This is an E32 600. I believe from what I have seen elsewhere it should have a "tartan" border to the tank.

Note chain adjustment was by moving the engine back or forward using a draw bolt.!

I used to know some one who in the 1930's used to ride speedway at Brandon Stadium, Coventry. He rode a Douglas with a longitudinal flat twin engine. He called it a pea shooter.

Indeed, thanks, that certainly seems to fit the bill.

Not actually a mystery as I had the benefit of accompanying text. Any one know the make?

Here's an easier one:

This is a DFP with W.O. Bentley in the driver's seat who with his brother as Bentley & Bentley bought the agency for the DFP Light Car and developed the 2 litre 12/15 hp as a sporting model prior to starting Bentley Motors.

I reckon that's probably a circa 1910-11 Austin 10hp.

Hi
It has to be one of the various blue NHS invalid cars.
I have seen photos of some with canvas tops, though I haven't yet found that particular rear end treatment.
