Hi

I have been thinking of getting a series 2 landrover, but I had a thought today of getting something more modern, capable of towing, but in a van format. It can't be too expensive and must be insurable by a 21 year old male!

I don't want something to big, but not tiny!

I have seen the Nissan Cargos, (second hand), they look fairly good to me, and nissans will run for ever in my oppinion.

What van does everyone think would be suitable?

Cheers

Dave

P.S... I was thinking it would be easier to put the Lister in a van, than a landrover, also i will be able to transport the PF, without having to put it on the roof! Very Happy

Buzzy, of all of the modern vans, i would, without shadow of a doubt go for a Mazda B-series Diesel Pick Up with a cover for the bed....

Hi Buzzy

LDV Pilot? Crude but effective, and with a heritage (?) stretching back to the 1970s Sherpa. Lots of ex Royal Mail ones going for peanuts, and I would think spares are easily available either from LDV agents or scrapyards.

Buzzy did ask for a modern van didnt he? Laughing

Which was the reason I suggested the Mazda....though I will admit umbrella handbrakes and a 0-60 time in several novels does make them old fashioned....really, really reliable though! Very Happy
