Yesterday erindoors and I took the Devon over to Cholmondeley, and shared a stand with some friends of ours. Below some pics from the day, it stayed dry but cloudy mostly, with the occasional shower in the afternoon. The Chevy pickups were on the same stand as us:

Hi
Nice pix.

Has the split screen minor been modified?

The early ones had the headlights where that one has it's sides, or did they do a sort of intermediate standard (Later wings with earlier grill)?

Hi Penman, the grey Minor is a Series 2 - they had split screens and 803cc, but the later raised headlights. Early Series 2s had the cheesegrater grille, then (I think late in '56) they adopted the horizontal grille bars, but still with a split window .. am sure a MM owner can set me right if I have the dates wrong Smile

Latest copy of Classic Motor Monthly (autojumbler) paper arrived today, with a photo taken at Cholmondeley Castle on the cover. And what car did they choose to photograph, from the super array of classic and vintage cars on show? yup, a Ford Sierra Shocked Rolling Eyes ok a shiny Sierra, but still just a common or garden Dagenham dustbin in good nick
