I've had this car since the 1960's when my mum bought it for me at a Jumble Sale.

It has a friction motor which has a kind of siren effect so I guess it's a police car. It has metal wheels but has rubber tyres on the rear only (gives a bit of grip to the friction motor. 1930's I think.

Any idea what it is?

Hi

Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will get some ideas on the model of your car.

Are you interested in classics?

Cheers

Hi Monty, welcome to the forum. Erindoors (my good lady) has some tin toys, including one or two like this. It is based on a 40s/50s Schuco model, but simplified with much less detail and produced a little later, probably by a different firm. I don't think it is intended to look like a particular real car. If I get a mo I'll take some piccies of her toys, and pop 'em on here!

rgds, Rick

Yes Dave,

I've got a 1944 Ford GPW, a 1943 (bit of a pattern here) Bedford MW, 1939 BSA WM20 and a 1958 AJS.

I like my vehicles mean and green.

Monty
