Nice to see some oldies on TG this evening, a very fine Ferrari 275 (hmmmmmmmmmm), and a Peel P50. Someone in the UK just landed on the main site looking for a P50 for sale, so I guess they must have been watching too!

At the museum we have a 3-wheeler Bamby, Messerschmitt, BMW Bubble Car, AC Invalid Car and a Lagonda. Nowadays there's a lot of interest in them and we get asked fairly regularly where one could be bought.

Nope not me this time!

I have just awoken, after having a rough night, had a cold/flu type thing for a while, was really hot and awake untill about 4ish.

Feel better now though!

I have found one 3 wheeler for sale, but it will have t stay for sale, as I am in a selling mood, not buying for once. Tempted though, just didn't record the adress so I can't go back for it. I was good for once!

P.S...Oh, that 3 wheeler site, I saw that yesterday, and remembered looking on it a while ago. I found a little info on the older cycle cars, which is allways good.

This latest series of TG is promising to be the best yet.

I thought last weeks image of 'Captain slow' driving the Aston naked was hilarious, but when the Peel drove through the BBC studios and past the newsreaders (in the background) I couldn't stop laughing.

I really disliked Clarkson until recently, but I have changed my opinion of him because I realise I just didn't 'get' him, now I have sussed his personality I find it easier to enjoy the programme.

Oh, and some Peel 50's are changing hands for £10,000 or so today buzzy.

as for P50s, I've been monitoring traffic to the main site on and off today, and the number of searches relating to the Peel P50 & Trident is amazing. If classics were featured on TG regularly I'd get a lot more people visiting the site

I watched TG all the way through for the first time in ages; they seem to have got rid of the "juvenile" Vroom vroom, gor! stuff and the program seem to be aimed at adults now.

I hope it is turning a corner, while I find stuff that is set up, and laugh hard at it, light driving there aphibicars along the road burning the foam off, last nights episode was a great laugh too!

I think a show like top gear, but about classics, showing a few sporty numbers, some historic, vintage, Edwardian and some horseless veteran examples with the funny ones like the peel could be very succesful. Like you say it would give the classic car world a great boost, your site included, more cars might come to light, from sheds/barns across the country but then prices may go up, as more people get interested! pro's and cons!

Has there been many people lookig for classic Ferraris coming to the site?

Hi Dave,

The most representative regarding your question will be our 1906 Lagonda Tricar, followed perhaps by a 1899 Beeston Motor Tricycle.

The "devil in the detail" however is what you and I understand as a "cyclecar", for example, we also have a c1921 NER-A-CAR, which is referred to by some as a cyclecar vis it's name, yet by others as a motorcycle as it only has two wheels (Me - I consider it a motorcycle).

Would you like me to get a picture of these objects, or are you familiar with them already?

I would love to see some pics, I have seen a Beeston Quadricycle, of a simmilar age.

2 wheels is definateley a motorcyle in my eyes, a cycle car is either 3 or 4 wheeled, although some say quadricycle!
