As the weather is quite bad here now, its time to do a bit of winter work on my Chrysler 300. The first job was to install this under my bonnet:
Doesnt that look nice? |

With the combination of the six pack and the new exhaust, it sounds lovely and smooth, but I will admit, it has lost that lovely V8 burble.
Very sad.... |

Rick: What you are looking at is what is generally regarded as Mopars best street motor, a 440 Six Pack.
Six Pack refers to the fact that there are 3 x 2 barrel (twin choke in British english!) carburettors.
If you remember, I bought some motors in Spring/summer. Parts from these have since been traded, and some of the money used to purchase this setup. It cant really be seen all that well in the pics, but the carbs have billet bases, which does improve them a little.
Just as a by-the-by, they came in a packet postmarked ''Indianapolis Speedway.'' Just the postmark must be worth something to a gearhead! |

Yes, they are the ones....nice arent they?
Next of the winter jobs will be to replace the radio, as well as do a few other interior jobs. At present, the radio is being converted to four channel operation, so that I can run the cars 6 speakers from it.... |

Another job I will be undertaking during winter is to fit these parts.
Lets see if anyone on the forum can guess why I want to fit them, when there isnt anything wrong the corresponding parts that are on the car now. |

No, sorry Rick! My 300 already had the letter series suspension, ie lowered. Drop it any more and the sump will make a nice groove in the road...!
And I'm not raising the front either..... |

Hi
They are either extended stubs giving a wider than normal track, or are standard stubs and the ones on the car are extended but you want to return to the standard. |

I think I may know - but I won't say in case I inadvertantly cause friction. |
