Offered a local minister (who I have known since I was a kid) some bottles wine for their Christmas fair, which was last weekend….. Thought they would be good in the tombola ….he couldn’t take them because last year some "do-gooder" informed the police, who turned up at the church Christmas fair and had to warn him that “because he didn’t have an off licence, he could not offer alcohol as a prize for profit….
There has to be a stop to this nanny state (IMHO)
