Anyone else agree that that view through the windscreen down a propper bonnet is one of the best in the world?

Went to a vintage rally at the weekend. I was there for half an hour when my dad turned up in my rod. We drove home in convoy untill the bypass when my dad got bored of 45mph and passed me about 80.

After loosing heart with this car for a bit and trying my best to get shot of it i decided to unearth it from the garage this afternoon after a few months stand still. I feel i need to mention that I LOVE THIS CAR! What was i thinking? It went on the first pull of the handle and didn't stop until i wanted it to.
Time to get my hand in my pocket and get everything i need for the 100E Aquaplane lump sorted i think!

Nothing like hearing a car run again to sooth the soul eh?? Wink I know what you mean though, tripping over a car just sat in the garage, gathering dust can be a bit sad, so its vital to fire them up from time to time! Smile

So the plan is to shoehorn a 100E unit into the Anglia?

Yep, got a later 100E sidevalve hear which i had bored +40. It doesn't need much to get going but it's finding the bits i need. Got an Aquaplane cylinder head and twin SU carbs to go on it. I hope to be hitting the 70-80mph barrier with that.
The car has a bit more dust now which looks good. I'll get some more pics up soon.

What modifications are required to fit the 100E engine into a 103E? I remember reading about this engine being put in an E83W, I've a vague recollection of the starter (?) being on the opposite side, which meant the chassis of the E83W had to be tweaked a little (the offset engine mounting doesn't help admittedly).
