I thought you might've atleast taken the time to introduce yourself first.
That way, people might be a little more willing to respond.
This is not fleabay.
Don't treat it as such. _________________ Don't run your fingers over my truck & I won't run my truck over your fingers!

Don't treat it as such. | I guess there are many people who are not familiar with web-forum etiquette - we all have to start somewhere so welcome on board and now go over to the appropriate pages and introduce yourself... |

Probably true, Rich.
Does anyone realise that of the 406 registered members, 206 have never posted? Why do they bother registering? Can anyone answer that? |

As in life there are takers and givers I am sure a lot will just sit by and take the information given but not feel they need to contribute _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm afraid there's no excuse for not using your eyes & seeing the 'Introduction' section on the main board, which is where everybody starts, familiar or not.
I'm not being stuffy about this, but more & more over the years I have been witness to & suffered too many people who seem to me to have no respect, consideration, courtesy towards, or thought for those around them.
Not least of which are other road users, so when it comes to those who supposedly take pride in what they drive, I expect a little more.
Rant over. _________________ Don't run your fingers over my truck & I won't run my truck over your fingers!

My initial reaction is that it is none of your business!
I feel they have no reason to explain anything to you Uncle Joe.Perhaps you might consider that they joined to learn from more
experienced members by selecting topics previously discussed or browsing various elements of the site without feeling they have to be the
centre of attention all the time. That makes them pupils, not parasites and,
as such a worthwhile part of the operation.
Regards, Oldtimer. |

They dont need to join the forum in order to browse it. Therefore they can learn anyway.
Judging by some of the names that they have chosen, I'm sure that they would have a lot to contribute.
oldtimer, in the past, there has been a lot of people that have tried to join for spurious reasons. I wonder how many of these people remain as zero posters? This forum serves a good purpose for a lot of people for a lot of different resons. I just dont want to see it spoiled.
As for my comments being none of my business, you couldnt be more wrong! Its every members business to see that the forum remains the light, happy place that it has been all the time it has existed! |
