Am I allowed to suggest a thread?
I don't know about anyone else but I would like to see "members" workshops
Without their cars, their workspace Rolling Eyes
I think a lot of the fascination of our classic cars is where we go to work on them

I took some pictures a few weeks ago of my garage/workshop.
The garage is about 32'x12' and I keep the P2 in the front half and use the rear as a workshop.

Greeney, I doubt if you'll ever see a workshop on here that doesnt have at least one vehicle in. To prove the point, heres a couple of photos of mine. Or at least, part of it....

Hi

I like the twin level set up, you ought to put a ramp or two in, then you could make a second floor strong enough for the cars to be stored upstairs too.

What is under the first floor section?

Cheers

Dave

the other end is this;
Wink

I should finish the AK400 in a month so it will allow me to revise the barn
I couldn't decide actually, ramp or pit but I will have a think about it over the next couple of months Idea

Hi

Pit has advantages and so does a ramp, why not have a pit at the front of the shed, and then a ramp at the back, cover the pit up when you don't want it. Looks like you should have room.

Not sure how you are set up power wise where you are, but if you can get access to 3 phase one way or another, a ramp will be a really cheap buy, 4 post in my oppinion.

I look forward to hearing how your workshop gets on, aswell as your cars! hehe

Cheers

Dave

It doesn't look it but the barn is 9m deep by 30m long but on the floor its 24 because of the cow shed. I would like to make a spray booth too that is easily KD. Once I have redone the roof I can remove that post that always gets in the way
I have 3phase as does most of this part of France.
The trouble is with post lift it gets in the way. I have considered one of those floor inset scissor types but it depends on the finances at the time, if its a competion between Traction avant, Facel vega or ramp I will lay on the floor anyday Laughing

Like many others here, I have little room to actually "work". I usually push out one near the door if I have to spread stuff out to work on it. There is a bench next to the old red Chevy, and I do my welding on the pad just outside the door.
The garage is 1000 square feet, 3 cars wide, 2 cars deep. I currently have 4 cars, the collection of pumps in one bay, and a billiard table in another.
