|
|
Can any of the Pop enthusiasts answer this question, sent in by Tom in NZ??
"Hi there from NZ, we are one of the few Clutch Rebuilders mad enough to be still resurrecting classic clutches down here, and I would like to know if you or one of your members could advise me the correct flywheel recess for the E93A and E103A Ford Prefects and Popular.
The main problem we have is the owners are reluctant
to remove their flywheels because it involves removing the sump etc, and the old customers units we see for rebuilding are probably the 4th or 5th Clutch to go into the car and of course the flywheel is always perfect. We keep asking to no avail if they'd send us the flywheel o allow us to setup and test the clutch as an assembly.
I seem to recall that it is 1" (25.4mm) same as the MK1 Zephyr, but I am getting a bit long in the tooth now and my memory is not as good as it used to be,
kind regards,
Tom McCall
