i guess that was the portugese factory, it stopped production in 1990.
Production of the car started on 2nd September 1939, only to be halted the following day due to the outbreak of World War II. Development of the car continued during the war, and radical changes were made before the car hit the public again at the Paris Show, 1949 _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com

In that film it also has in the titles 1948-2008, 60 anos del 2CV. I thought that it may translate to "60 years of 2CV. Which had me wondering if in some small corner of the world, they may be still producing the 2CV.
I suppose that I just like the idea that one of the classic "Car for the masses" still lived on. I just like "real" Beetles, "real" Mini's
I doubt I will ever move into the 21's century. _________________ 1964 International Harvester |

preubautos.com.ar The domain .AR is Argentina. That's what had me wondering if they may still be producing them there. Plus the "1948-2008" flash across the screen suggests they may be. The film it's self does look quite old though. _________________ 1964 International Harvester |

They were indeed made in Argentina and Chile but i think production stopped there in the mid 80s although it would have stopped earlier had it not been for the James Bond film "For your eyes only" Production had to double to cope with the influx of orders in Chile
1988 saw the France factory stop production but for 2 more years Portugal made them
