... but not new to the forum business.

I generally post on Retro-Rides and OldSkoolFord, but variety is the spice of life.

I haven't had the pleasure of many cars, but my history so far is

'91 'J' Mk2 Golf 'Ryder' in white. Awesome car with small bumpers and minter than mint.
Then two red nova's A G plate mk1 and a J plate mk2. Decent enough cars (even though they were both dogs Rolling Eyes )
Then a H plate mk2 sierra saph. That I wrote off within a month Embarassed

Then the escort. A '74 mk1. I love the bloody thing, and Im starting to think i quite likes me too Wink

Pics...

Hope ya like Smile

Welcome aboard.

I had my wrists slapped by the Retro-Rides Admins a fair while back for posting an 'unacceptable joke'.

A large proportion of the reader's rides fit quite well into that category.

IMHO.

There have been very, very few affordable British or European cars worthy of 'classic' status produced since 1979.

Greeney in france -- Originally it was a 1100 'HC', but we built a 1660 from a 711 block and with a couple of little additions (1300 pistons, kent bfc2, ported head) I have a rather tractable fast road engine. Or at least, I will. When I've got a decent carb on it Rolling Eyes Wink

Sounds cool
I had stage 2 head ported and polished 4into 2 manifold with twin pipes
2 twin choke webbers DOE something cant remember now
Tried powermax pistons ended up designing my own and having them made up, with my own lightened and balanced crankshaft too, highlift camshaft double valve springs to cut down on bounce
I was getting 0-60 in 5.5 seconds I wanted acceleration not top end but still achieved 120mph
Embarassed
