Hello all, my name is dave and i live in stoke on trent, please have alook at my consul classic which i have owned for 3 years.
THIS IS HOW SHE LOOKED WHEN I GOT HER, THE PAINTWORK WAS DULL HENCE THE RESPRAY, SHES NEVER BEEN WELDED, AND APART FROM THE FRONT WINGS THERE ALL ORIGINAL PANELS. THE CHASSIS, FLOOR ALL SILLS EVERYTHING UNDERNEATH ARE LIKE NEW STILL (UNBELIEVABLE) BUT TRUE.
RESPRAY IN PROGRESS
NEARLY THERE
FINISHED
AND A COUPLE OF OLD SIERRAS, LONG GONE
MITSUBISHIS NOW GONE
HERES ONE I HAD 30YRS AGO, NOW LONG GONE
APART FROM THE CLASSIC I RUN A 53 PLATE ASTRA FOR MY BUSINESS, AND THE MISSUS HAS AN 06 SRI VECTRA

Hi Dave, and welcome. Beautiful Classic you have! What's the mileage? Quite low I would have thought, with it being so well-preserved.

What a lovely Classic - I've never seen one so nice, any others I've seen and there's been a few, are total heaps, with rust eating through everywhere.

Why are the carbs on the red one arranged that way, had it been re-engined with a V4/V6? |

I used to do some work for a guy who had one,but I'm sure it was a coupe.Did they do one or is my memory playing tricks. |

Yes they did. It was the first (Consul) Capri.

Thanks for the pic,thats the one,I'm not going round the bend like I thought (well not just yet any way).
I remember the one the guy had was red.I seem to remember he later had problems finding parts for the steering,I lost touch with him some years back.I'd imaging the car ended up scrapped. |

Hiya all, Ive nearly completed the refubishment of my engine, gearbox, ie-:new gaskets seals,brake pipes, water hoses, and ive also waxoiled the underside again. on my classic
So heres a few pics if anyones interested.
More pics to follow when engine back in,
