Got rid of most the un-original chrome, used early VW Camper Van arches which I modified to fit. So far so good.[/url]

It looks much better without the aftermarket chrome.

as P2 says, it looks a whole lot better without the funny chrome additions. I've never seen fog/spot lamp brackets like you've got there, must be quite hard to find!

Rick,

I can tell you from personal experience (as I fitted a few when new) that the proper brackets were built into the overider. The overider was removed the bracket bolted to it and then refitted.

I love MkII Consuls.
As a Rockabilly, they are a must have at some point.
No Rock n Roll weekender is complete without a Consul or two.
I hope yours is better than my old one.
I had a 1959 Lowline base model in Ambassadour Blue with Pompadour Blue roof.

Unreliable pig. I bought it in 2001 as a genuine 11k miles from new well loved car.
Stood up between 1961 & 1998.
Broke down everywhere. Mad Mad
I attributed the gremlins in it due to the low miles.
I sold it for £1500 about 6 Months later, and as far as I know its been garaged again.
[sound advice] "Folks it aint good keeeping them standing for years. Get out and use 'em !" [/sound advice]
