Also there used to be a gasket manufacturer in Windsor Berkshire as my Brother in Law had some made for His Willy's Whippet, I'll try and find out their Address.

Update on things, I re-fitted the valves the other evening, including the new exhaust valves that were sourced a few months back. It just needs the clearances adjusting then I can move on to other bits.
Out of curiosity I put the 6v battery from buzzy onto the car, to see if anything showed signs of life. The sidelamps work front and rear, as does the dash lamp, fuel gauge, and the horn. The starter shows signs of life too, and there was a spark (of sorts) over the points, so they were all positive signs.
For the time being the A7 is on the back-burner, while I do some more research, so in the meantime the priorities are the Minor, and putting the Devon back together...as well as continuing to source bits for the Dodge.

No prizes for guessing which were the new valves - I adjusted the gaps the other evening, bit of a nightmare that seems to require four hands, one for the feeler gauges, and the others to hold various spanners. Still, got there in the end, I think..  If not 100%, they'll be close enough to at least fire the engine up eventually, and assess it's condition...
The head has been skimmed and is ready to fit, next I need to replace the core plugs (very thin in places), and make up a new gasket for the valve cover.

Hey rick, i was thinking of having a tidy up myself today but after seeing urs, I can leave it some more years!! 
How many cars are there in your garage?
It looks quite big, wish I could buy a big one but prices are too high over here, a single car lock up goes for around 16000/17000 euros in my area  |

It's amazing what a good clean can do to the look of a car! Is that its original paint?
