Not ground the plane, Peter, but sanction the crew, several of whom have responsible positions within the aviation industry. However, from what I've seen of the CAA's reaction to the alleged 'roll', they're playing it down but - big 'BUT' - it shouldn't be forgotten that there were two historic jets accidents in the UK this year that claimed a number of lives and the future of such aircraft is already under review.

Hi David. I am aware of the various accidents/incidents and had those in mind when I made my comment.

I just find that there is far too much "knee jerk" reaction to everything these days.

Hi I haven't seen it roll, but it's tight turn which it has done regularly goes beyond the vertical, about 10:55 on this.

Noticed this earlier: "Following on from Guy’s Spitfire programme he will once again look to the sky in his next Channel 4 programme. 'Guy Martin's Last Flight of the Vulcan Bomber' airs Sunday 29th November on Channel 4 at 19.30 hrs."

A good programme I thought! No fake drama to speak of, and some excellent air-to-air footage.

I watched the last hour of it "live", and thought it was pretty good, then watched the first half-hour on a recording later. There was a bit more interesting stuff in the first half-hour (jacking it up, for example) but a bit of annoying stuff too. Overall it wasn't as bad as I'd expected it to be, and I'm hoping that more of the final flight footage appears at some point. I believe VTTS are releasing a DVD towards the end of the year, which might be worth a look.
