I have been looking at this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MORRIS-14-6-1937_W0QQitemZ330370020209QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item4ceb967371

How rare are 14/6's as I can find very little information about them?

The Fourteen-Six chassis numbers run from S3/FS57532 to S3/FS62940 so I guess there were 5804 produced. Survival rate guess 5% so maybe 250 cars around today????

For comparison the Fourteen-Four runs from S3/TW101 to S3/TW19565 so approx. four times as many.

I don't know what the magic of the number 57532 is, but the Twenty-Five-Six runs from S3/TF57532 to S3/TF62936. Maybe they liked to make them in pairs with the Fourteen-Sixes!

I might be wrong but I've a feeling I've visited that place before now, I *think* its a dealer that advertises projects in lots of the mags. I don't remember seeing that Morris (probably came later), could be nice when done but it'd need a close checking over I think! Does it have any ash framing beneath the steel body??

Sorry, the above info relates to the Series III Fourteen-Sixes. The car in this ad is a Series II which apparently was only produced between June 1936 and July 1937 and there are only 13 cars known to have survived from this run.

Thanks for the info guys, does indeed seem like an interesting project. It was listed before and went up to £1220 but was 'reserve not met'. If I had the space to put it I would be seriously tempted by it!

sorry to hijack your thread...

Peter, where do you find out about how many vehicels of a specific type are left?

I have a 1933 morris 10/4 4 seater tourer, i remember seeing a similar car for sale before i bought mine suggesting that there were only a handful left of this type... i'd love to know how many of this model there are. i know the 4 seat tourer was pretty rare.
