My friends 1934 Morgan Super Sport failed it's MOT today on a non working wheel cylinder..I had problems trying to brake in a straight line on the way to the MOT station so knew there was an issue.
The car was modified in the 60's with Morris 8 brake drums, wheel cylinder and master cylinder...i found the wheel cylinders to be the problem..although the wheel cylinder bores are good the rubbers had been cut up by the broken pieces of "copper"?? from the small spreader that stops the spring in the cylinder from eating through the (7/8ths) cup seals.
I have most of the parts needed to re-build the brake system but would like to locate a new/replacement/alternative set of these..

They fit inside of this style of wheel cylinder..

Might be worth trying these guys, I've not used them myself but they look like they do a good range

If you cant find any replacements I dont think it would be difficult to make some out of thin brass sheet using a drill and snips and using your old one as a template.

Due to lack of time (i need the car MOT'd later today) this is going to be my only option..off to the local model shop this morning to find a sheet of copper.
