Some progress on the ally skin, certainly a lot of the fiddly bits such as door shuts and internal profiles. Also some exterior panels too which is very exciting I can tell you. I agreed to a slow build to help me with finance and to give me and my family a break but now I just want it done! Also we will have five Aero Minxes on the stand at the NEC this weekend which will be terrific.

Further progress has been made and which I am of course delighted with. One door almost complete and the roof panels coming along nicely. I have made some small errors in dimensions which have become obvious now but this was always going to be likely at some stage with little more than photos to go on. Nothing that I am desperately unhappy with and we are certainly not going to start re-jigging the frame at this stage. The lines are still very close and flow well and all comments in the workshop are positive. On we must go.

Great news (for me anyway)
Just wanted to share with the community that I have just received a shiny new registration document / log book for the Aero Minx Streamlined saloon. DVLA have corrected the previously wrong engine number (it was poorly stamped on the brass plate which made an 8 look like a 3) and shown the body style as saloon as per the original buff logbook (It came to me as a tourer) so I am a happy bunny. ADU 101 rides again!!! The new pressed aluminium plates that I got from the boss for Christmas weren't a waste of money either!

Well done, I had not realised that it was originally a saloon, looking forward to seeing more photos of progress.

Bob.

Bit more progress on the bonnet and wings. Should all be done in a week or two now. Then she will be placed very firmly back in my lap to finish her !

Little more front end progress. I am particularly pleased with the front wing considering we only have a handful of old photos to go on and can't wait to see them both finished which is very near now. The car may well end up at the NEC show this November after all as the workshop would like to use it on their stand to demonstrate their body building skills. I am in two minds as it might have been nice to unveil her myself in 2016 but the guys have done such a nice job at a very reasonable cost it seems churlish to refuse. I can perhaps take her when she is totally complete in paint etc.

Love that - two "reveals" wouldn't seem out of the way, ie one as it is unpainted, then another all back together and shiny in its new paint, ready to hit the road.
