This pictures shows the details of the rear light clusters and continental-style spare wheel arrangment on this 1958 Oldsmobile. It wouldn't be long before cars designed in the US would lose a lot of this individuality and resort to more conventional 'square box' styling with less of the eccentricity seen in 1950s cars.
