Shelsley's anniversary event in 2005.

A screensaver containing vintage & historic racing cars.

Hillclimbing cars
Historic single seat & sports cars at Shelsley.
Unlike most of the other classic car screensavers available on oldclassiccar, which are specific to a make or type of car, this one contains a series of photographs from one very special event - the Shelsley Walsh anniversary meeting in Worcestershire, which was held in 2005. The weather was brilliant, and the turn-out of fascinating single seater competition cars, such as the Alta and ERAs, was great to see. Two versions of this screensaver are available for downloading - either the full 20 picture s/saver (2.35Mb), or the 'lightweight' version, which contains just 6 of the images (and is 1.06Mb in size).

There was a huge variety of competition machinery in evidence, so apologies if your favourite racing car doesn't feature - however the Auto Union, Alta, Bentley, ERA, MG and Mclaren cars are all represented, along with many others, including one or two well-known 'Shelsley specials'. Photos of many more cars competing at this hill can be seen on the Shelsley Walsh event page(s).

Pls note
If you're not too confident with changing your PC settings in this way, it is probably best to get someone who knows more about this kind of thing to do it. It has been tested on my own PC (running Windows XP) and works ok with Internet Explorer 6.0 and Firefox 1.0 browsers. No guarantees, warranties or anything else that it'll work on every new or ancient PC out there! I can't take responsibility for anyone re-configuring their Windows settings by trying this - however it should be fine, but it does require a little knowledge by the user to install it.
