We have just joined the forum and have found it very interesting indeed.
As I said in my other post we have just purchased a 1960 Car Cruiser Clubman off of e-bay in really nice condition. She just needs a bit of TLC to put her right. We picked her up at Carnforth to the north of Morecambe and after a bit of work on the brake linkage and fitting new tyres we got her back to Cornwall without any incident. Mind you we kept to 50 - 55 mph all the way. Much to the annoyance of fellow motorists ! We are looking to find some more info on the old girl and a few parts needed to bring her back to her former glory.

1/ We need three gas lights either Bijou or no 1 type
2/ A period gas cooker or hob
3/ A period steel Elsan or similar loo
4/ A spare wheel
5/ Any literature on the 1960 ish Clubmans
6/ Front and rear Car Cruiser name plates / badges

Hoping to show her next year at some classic rallies and shows.
Blow are some photo's of the old girl.

hi
Thats great to know. One of our bunks has been butchered by a previous owner and the kitchen altered to take a modern cooker. It would be very helpful if your friend could let us have a few photo's of the interior of his or even let us come over and have a look at it. That would help us in the restoration so much.
Cheers
George

Where the wheels for this unique to the caravan or were they from another vehicle?

I really dont know if the wheels were fitted to any other vehicle. I have looked around, as we need a spare and have not been able to find any.
