Just heard today that well-known classic caravan enthusiast Nick Shaw died last Wednesday. Possibly best known for his interest in Wade caravans, of which I believe he owned No 2, and also the only Wade camper, he'll be missed on the show circuit.
RIP, Nick, a genuinely nice guy. |

What a shame, we enjoyed reading about his adventures with the Wades in the Hoot and Pass. _________________ I can resist anything except temptation ! ( Oscar Wilde)

Hello....we recently did a search on the internet for Nick Shaw, as we knew he was seriously ill, and were saddened to discover the news of his death on this forum.
My husband John sold Nick his first Wake caravan, which had been originally purchased new as a fibre glass shell and fitted out by his dad in the early '70s, but in recent years had been left to moulder in the garden.
Here's a link to some video clips and pictures of our visit with Nick when he brought the caravan back to show us, pitching up at a caravan site half a mile from our house.
