This event has been growing steadily over the last ten years to what is now a big event.

The whole village including Holmewood Hall is taken over and transformed back to the 1940`s.

Well worth a visit.

Classic and vintage vehicles from the era are more than welcome, but later models are allowed up to say 1970..

Perhaps not too late to enter your car,van.lorry or coach etc.

Everyone dresses up in period attire.

I went down this afternoon to start to set up. Looks like it is going to be a brilliant event as always.
The weather is so good this evening, camp fires, paraffin lamps lit, real ale being drunk.

People strolling around the village. The local pub full of re-enactors and other strange folk.

It is so different having an event in a village, a huge grass field or parkland does not have the ambience.

After tomorrows full day of activities there is the 1940`s dance in the evening, another good excuse to down a few more pints of real ale.

For the beginning of OCT the weather and atmosphere is better than shows we have attended in the height of summer.
