On last friday I went during my lunch break to have a look and take some photos.
I was not disappointed, and a lot of nice cars were in attendance.
This is held in conjunction with the grand prix which is held the following saturday and sunday.

I will post some photos from Sunday too at a later date.

The car I loved most and looked at most is the little singer tourer registered GIG 115.
A close second was the morris bullnose!!

Nice pics Bob.

I found the 1929 Ariel rather interesting as I have a photo of my mother sitting on one in about 1930.

Oh I forgot to mention that that Bedford CA was immaculate the sides were perfect, it was a real head turner and so was the ford pickup and I loved them both, cannot decide which one whether the bedford or the Ford pickup I'd like most!!

Fantastic photos (and setting!), I agree the Morris would be on my shortlist to take home too Smile

Were the British registered cars on a tour for this event.?

Thought I might have seen my Sunbeam Rapier 1966 that was purchased by a Maltese chap earlier this year.

I see a couple of small differences. I think the Maltese one has an ignition or lighting switch in the headlamp shell and the shell is supported by a different bracket but otherwise it looks the same to me.

I thought they're quite similar too Peter, hadn't noticed the things you mentioned though!!

Gresham, I think some might be imported recently and some were here for the event, not sure though!!
There's always some snobbery in this event, I just go to look at and to photograph the cars!
Surely the ones competing in the races which had a foreign registration were foreign, uk, italy and I'm not sure if from france!!!
