Motor Sport magazine is delighted to announce the date and location of the 2014 Motor Sport Hall of Fame. The sparkling celebration of motor sport past and present will take place on the evening of Wednesday January 29, 2014 in the Paul Hamlyn Hall in Covent Garden’s stunning Royal Opera House.

Now entering its fifth year the Motor Sport Hall of Fame evening provides a unique opportunity to ‘see in’ a new season with drivers, personalities and familiar faces from all over the sport meeting at this sumptuous event to honour the most celebrated drivers, riders and key personalities.

The 2014 inductees, who will be named on the night, will join the likes of Andretti, Hill, Lauda, Scheckter, Brabham, Newey, Surtees, McRae, Chapman and Kristensen to name but a few. The exclusive event will also have extra resonance in 2014 as it will launch Motor Sport magazine's 90th
anniversary festivities, which will be a major theme and cause for celebration throughout the year.

“We are delighted to be announcing details of our fifth Hall of Fame today,” said Motor Sport Editor, Damien Smith. “The event has really blossomed since its introduction to the social calendar in 2010 and has become a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our sport and honour the personalities who have been responsible for its enduring success.

“We are particularly proud to be celebrating the 90^th anniversary of Motor Sport in 2014, and this will be a significant focal point for the Hall of Fame and throughout the year. The world has changed in so many ways since the Brooklands Gazette (as it was known for the first year) appeared on bookstalls back in 1924, but it is the personalities and the enthusiasts who have protected and developed the sport over the ages to whom we owe gratitude for its consistent success.”
