|
|
Between 3/4 and full lock, my front brakes start to apply when reversing out of the garage. Is there a secret I have missed when adjusting the cables?
Does anyone have a link to the correct procedure on the internet please?
Thanks

Andrew,
Are you sure the brakes are cable operated?? I thought that Ford used the Girling rod brakes. If they are rods check that the compensator on the front axle is free to swivel where it mounts on the axle. Is this just a new problem? Have they been working OK in the past?

I recently rebuilt the car, and yes, they are cable operated. The brakes work fine apart from this problem |

Problem solved, one of the brake shoe springs had come off from one shoe!
Curious how it only stuck on one full lock. |
