Hi Folks
Summer is finally here and im going to start fixing up the bodywork on my cortina. I have the use of a 100l compressor and a small walled yard. So here come the questions i intend to do a bare metal respray how ever i need a primer i can put on bare metal and leave until im ready to do the base coat,any ideas what primer i can use? I was thinking upon the lines of rustbuster epoxy 421 i have heard good things about this stuff. what base paint should i use celulose or a water based paint follow up with a good clear coat can anyone give me some advise.Thanks |

Well an epoxy primer is the answer. However, I believe that Rustbuster is a rebadged, higher priced tin of Jotun paint. I use Jotun 87 and can't fault it. Bear in mind that it can be a few days for it to be ready for sanding. _________________ Evans Waterless Coolants
