Spacious, plenty of seats when required, and a flat load area when the extra seating isn't needed, this A40 has plenty to offer - LHD too, useful for antique-buying forays into France perhaps?

Very nice, but not good for the journeys you suggest.
Motorway speeds are too high I think, especially when laden Very Happy

That's the "trouble" with small-engined classics: not very suitable to cover any distances. At least that keeps me from buying one.

I'm sure a different diff and perhaps a B-Series engine could be fitted, without upsetting its originality too much.
