Andrew Greenwood's show at Cholmondeley Castle is this Sunday - I'm going, will be on the SCCCC club stand. Currently trying to decide whether to nip down to the Llangollen this afternoon to see the steam gala.

I did pop down, but only for the afternoon. Was very warm sunshine when I got there, a shower when I came out of the secondhand bookshop and just the very occasional spot of rain the rest of the time. Good job I didn't come down earlier as I'd intended.

Just over the border in Malpas, Shropshire, is a big vintage rally this weekend coming up. We're booked in, originally with big Dodge but more likely we'll take little Dodge instead - Sunday only I think.

I'm planning on going over there for a look, but probably Saturday, weather permitting of course.

We spotted a note in a local magazine for a second (this year) breakfast gathering at Dearnford Lake nr Whitchurch, Shrops, on 5th October, I'll see if I can find out any more info. The one earlier this year was well attended.

I was thinking of it, but was at Southport on the Saturday and a family open day at the Vauxhall plant in Ellesmere Port on the Sunday.

Yeah, I ran a stand there (Riley RM Club).
I would say this show still needs to take off. It looked good, and I enjoyed it, but the footfall through the door seemed a tad underwhelming. I intend standing again next year if it continues. It could be a worthy successor to the much-missed Belle Vue show, which truly was the Northern Classic Car Show.
Never mind, I learnt a lot about Rochdales and Rover P5s, both of which are in my sights.

I had it on my list too, but couldn't get in the end. I went last year and enjoyed it, but as you say, it didn't feel very busy.
It will have to be the NEC then!
