|
|
CORRECTLY REGISTERED 1976 V8 MGB ROADSTER - V5 PRESENT AND IN MY NAME.
THIS CAR WAS PREVIOUS ON THE ROAD AS A V8 AND BOUGHT BY ME AS A DONOR V8 SHELL FOR MY 1971 ROADSTER V8 PROJECT.
I'VE BEEN REBUILDING THE RUBBER BUMPER SHELL WHICH HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO CHROME BUMPER WITH PARTS FROM MY ORIGINAL 1971 ROADSTER.
YOU'RE BUYING THE CAR IN THE PICTURES BASICALLY !
Easy winter project:
2 years in the making and I've come so far, but..... time is against me and I don't seem to be getting anywhere anymore.
Shell has had all V8 mods done:
Bulkheads trimmed back (standard RB)
Transmission tunnel raised
Rad mounts moved forward (standard RB)
Engine mounts, crossmember and steering converted to Standard RB
Front crossmember and suspension upgraded to V8 spec plus RV8 inner wing mods to keep engine bay cooler.
Rover V8 engine from a SD1 and LT77 5 speed manual box, brand new clutch kit still in box. Brand new alloy MGB V8 alloy engine mounts and rubbers.
All parts to complete (to get her running anyway) including brand new V8 rad, remote oil filter kit and oil pump base bought last month.
15" alloys with new tyres.
New 4 pot SD1 calipers and new vented, grooved and drilled brake discs.
Standard MGB rear axle.
New Sebring rear valance and loads of chrome bumper spares which could probably be sold on, chrome bumpers especially.
Viewing recommend, I'm sure it wouldn't take someone, with a bit of time, long to put this beauty on the road.
SOLID SHELL, FLOORS, CASTLE RAILS ETC NO WELDING REQUIRED
Reluctant sale but too many cars and too many projects plus I need the space!
Easy winter project for someone with time, which unfortunately isn't gonna be me.......
1971 MGB ROADSTER LOG BOOK AND TAGS ALSO AVAILABLE IF INTERESTED
THE SHELL WAS TOO FAR GONE TO SAVE
JUST TO CONFIRM, I HAVE THE FULL INTERIOR, HOOD FRAME BUT NO HOOD.
I'll make a list of what's included so there is no confusion !
I just bought the bits I needed as I needed them, a few main things you'll definitely need are: a battery, propshaft, steering wheel, plugs and leads, a coil, apart from them, not a lot else! |
