Has anyone come across this devices?
They were made by Toledo Woodhead of Sheffield in the 50's. Essentially it was an extra spring linking the rear spring rear shackle with a bracket above the rear axle. The idea was to provide extra springing and stiffen up the existing tired springs, and , obviously you fitted a pair of them...!!
Toledo Woodshed ceased trading it the UK some years ago, and with our love of Classics with tired rear springs I feel there is a need for them today...
Are there any out there? |
