I bought this on a bit of a whim last week! I got it from a friend of mine, who bought it last year from the family of the deceased original owner. It's in very good condition for an FE Victor, never been welded which is amazing for one of these!
So far I've sorted the knocking exhaust, changed the leaking rocker cover gasket for a new one, sorted out the faulty thermostat and temperature sender, changed a split steering rack boot and fitted the new tyres that came with it. I also sorted out a bad misfire quite quickly, that was just the condenser that hadn't been plugged in properly following a service!
Getting the new tyres fitted:
It's a bit different to my usual flair, but I love it! _________________ Richard Hughes |

Lovely original looking car, and very useful - especially with the tow bar! 5-speed? What mileage has it done? |

Very, very nice.
Starmist Blue metallic?
There can't be many FE Victors left especially in that condition.
North Wales Police used FE Victors as traffic cars in the mid to late 1970's. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

My Old man had a gold FE VX4/90 with an overdrive gearbox, my memory of it was a comfortable long legged cruiser but a very long throw gear change, so I liked the overdrive switch a lot! |

My father in law had this one,
He worked for GM so would have got it on some sort of deal! , its a Luton reg, so was probably initialy owned by GM. He kept it until the mid 90's when it was used as a second car and then gave it away to someone in a Vauxhall related club. We saw it at one of the Oulton Park shows not long after he gave it away, which was when this pic was taken. Its still on the DVLA database but not been taxed for sometime
Nice motors

That VX4/90 looks gorgeous. Unfortunately mine doesn't have overdrive, as it was deleted for this model year. Some of the VX models had a 5 speed Getrag gearbox, but apparently 5th gear wasn't any taller than the earlier 4 speed. _________________ Richard Hughes |

Haven't seen one for years, and lo and behold, one drove up through our village yesterday! Maroon on an L suffix plate, but I'm pretty sure its either a "visitor" or new to the area. |
